A letter from our Founder, Nitin Lad
It started on a quiet holiday afternoon. I was sitting on the sofa, watching my five-year-old daughter, Yashica, completely absorbed in drawing abstract, boldly colored fractals on a piece of paper.
Watching her, a quiet realization hit me: the years since the day she was born had slipped by entirely unnoticed.
I realized I had nothing permanent to anchor that exact moment she entered the world. I had nothing as unique as she is, and certainly nothing designed to last forever. I felt that exact same ache thinking about my son, Agasthya, who had already turned eleven. The time was just vanishing.
I carefully took Yashica's drawing and kept it with me. But holding it, I knew the harsh reality - paper fades. It gets packed away in boxes. It cannot hold the weight of time.
I needed a way to freeze these once-in-a-lifetime moments so they could never slip away. I needed a living, uncopyable anchor for the days that defined my life, built to outlast us all.
That afternoon, the engine behind The Genesis Art was born.
